Christmas!

Well Christmas has come and gone, it is amazing how much time, effort and build up takes place for just one day! Christmas was great! I had a great time with my family.
My grandpa loves his cats! Whenever we go to grandma's house we always tease grandpa about his cats Princess and Tiger.  Grandpa greats them like the grand-kids they get treats, lots of food, and his constant watch care.  His cats adore him, I mean who wouldn't they got stockings and a Christmas tree made just for them.

GINGERBREAD HOUSES!
One of my favorite Holiday traditions is  making gingerbread houses.  We take the shortcut and use graham crackers instead of real ginger bread.
Kevin's house if you look closely you can see the words "in here" with an arrow pointing to the chimney.

My moms we entitled it "Hazel and Gretle house"

My dad won the award for most unique, he made the Washington monument! The candy corn on the side is suppose to be a man falling.  I am not sure what that is all about.

Adriann's Entitled "Candy Cane Mess." So many candy canes!

Mine is entitle "Home sweet home"

Chris's "Christmas Swamp."  Watch out for the lock-ness monster!

Natalie's "Marshmallow Madness"

SO much fun!!!!!!!!!!!

Merry Christmas!

Christmas is here...bringing good cheer...to young and old...meek and the bold...
I love Christmas so much and today was extra special because it was also a Sunday.  How appropriate to go to church to worship Christ on Christmas!

Like always Christmas was full of our rich traditions and wonderful times with my family!

Since Christmas was on a Sunday my mom decided that she would make all the girls matching christmas Dresses! They look so nice!

We all look so cute together! I love my family!

Its Beginning to Look A Lot like CHRISTMAS!

Christmas isn't complete without the Christmas trees. It makes me so excited to to put up Christmas trees, and gets me in the Christmas spirit!

Its always a tradition in my family to put up the Christmas trees the day after Thanksgiving!
This one is my favorite! I love the White Christmas Tree!

More Thanksgiving

So as always I have had another busy week, but just two more weeks and Christmas break will be here.  I made it back from Thanksgiving break, but of course being the forgetful person that I am, I left my computer cord at home.  So I have not had it all week, but luckily my home teacher came and just happened to have my computer cord!  I am so thankful, tender mercy of the Lord!

Now for some pictures!

Oh this one is from Rexburg a few weeks ago :

And now for some more Thanksgiving Pictures...

My brother-in-law made this lovely turkey arrangement for our table-its part of his flower arranging class, I mean he doesn't just to it for fun.
 Natalie and I on THANKSGIVING

Well my brother started to tackle me, but turns out he shouldn't mess with me because I got him back!
Then Natalie decided she would join in on the fun.

Thanksgiving Dinner!

Thanksgiving is always an exciting time.  Today we went to my Grandma Richins house.  It was good to see my family on that side of the family because I usually don't see them very much. My favorite part of Thanksgiving dinner is the mashed potatoes and my mom's homemade rolls-So delicious!
Yummy Thanksgiving Dinner, my grandma really out did herself

PIES, PIES, and more PIES.  We had so many pies to eat, it was so hard to pick which one to eat!

REXBURG!

This past weekend I went to visit my sister in Rexburg, ID.  Turns out is was freezing cold there.  It snowed and then the snow did not melt.  It was really good though to spend some time with my entire family.  I love them so much, and feel so blessed!
So my sister is a genius, and can solve a rubix cube in 2 min or something crazy like that.  Because it was so cold we mostly just stayed inside and with all the time, I solved this rubix cube.  Granted my sister coached me through it, I did do it! Just don't ask me to do it again!
As I mentioned before, it was freezing cold in Rexburg.  This is what I woke up to Saturday morning.  Not only does it snow in Rexburg, but the wind makes it 10 times colder.  Suddenly I was really greatful that I live just a little further south in Utah and that the mountains prevent the wind from blowing constanly.

FALL COLORS!!

So a few weeks ago my roomates and I went to see all the fall colors!  It makes me so excited to see all the colors.

We saw the mountain goats on the mountain.  It was the coolest thing, they got so close to us, like right next to the trail!

The Calm after the Storm

So last week was a crazy week with lots of mid-terms and projects due, this week though was a welcome relief.  In the midst of my studies, I have had a lot of fun this week.
On Sunday we went and visited the Provo Tabernacle.  It is so exciting that this tabernacle is going to be turned into a second temple for Provo! I am so excited, and hope that it will be done before I graduate!  Now my two homes will have two temples.  South Jordan has the Oquariah Mountain and the Jordan River temples and soon Provo will have two!  Of course with much given much is required, it is up the members to use temples and keep this temples busy doing the work of the Lord.

No I am not eating whipped cream out of the bottle:)
So I got to go home this week and on my way back to Provo, I saw the full moon glowing in the sky under the clouds.  This isn't the best picture, but it really was so pretty!
Today, Jenny and I were feeling a little blue... a little true blue that is! A BYU homecoming tradition to slide into a big pile of you guessed it BLUE FOAM!

So far, this week has been full of lots of fun adventures... these have been some GREAT DAYS!

JENNY!

Lil Jen! I am so glad to have Jenny as my friend.  She is the nicest, prettiest and the greatest person ever.  She is such an example to me to love everyone.  I love her so, so much.  Here we are at the football game on Saturday, isn't it obvious why I love her so much!  Jenny is from Canada and the 2nd Monday in October is marked as Thanksgiving for Canada.  To celebrate, Jenny and I made a college-style thanksgiving dinner! We had turkey roast, mashed potatoes, rolls, and apple pie.  We invited people over that had ties to Canada, it was a lot of fun.  I am so thankful for Jenny and her Canadianship!

Snow?

... So it snowed today!  It was so crazy to see snow again, I think that summer abruptly ended.  Yesterday was sunny and warm and then today this! It's okay though because I had an excuse to warm up with some Hot Chocolate!

In other news..."The testing center is not a condusive environment, it is a holding cell, that has all the stress from many years building up in its walls."-My Econ Professor
This is great motivation right before our test...which it turns out was canceled because he sent the wrong test to the testing center, I am not complaining :)

A little China Culture

So my sister texted me yesterday about this chinese orchestra that was coming to BYU tonight.  I have to say I was a bit skeptical at first, but it was a really good preformance.  They had some really cool chineses instruments.  This was the first time that this orchestra has been to the U.S. and I am so glad that I got to see them.  It is always really neat to see other people's culture!

This isn't the best picture, but you can see some of the instruments that they used.
Also up front are the two opera singerst that preformed.

My Weekend

Saturday's football game was a huge disappointment, I don't
even what to talk about it, but I did have lots of fun with two of my
favorite people Jenny and Natalie!!!!
Saturday was not the highlight of the weekend, but Sunday was! Just after getting out of Church, Jimmer walked out of his ward! Crazy!  I was so close to him, and when he walked out the door, he held open the door for Jenny and Me!

Hopefully the football team will redeem themselves this Friday, hopefully Saturday's game is all the humbling they need!

More Pictures

Here are some more pictures from the first few weeks of school!
On labor day I hiked to the top of Mt Timpanogos, it was a
long hike but so worth the view at the end.

Last Saturday was honey harvest day! We had so much honey by
the end of the day!. Look at this crazy beehive.

Oh Wyview! Look at the clouds I think I could walk right up to them.

RAIN, RAIN, RAIN! So for the past two Fridays, mother nature has
decided to rain on me right when I get off work! What rotten luck!

Last Week of Summer/Beginning of School

So I have been super busy for the past month, the last week of summer I went off to California to go to Disneyland with my family.  The week after that school started!! So life has been pretty hectic, but I am loving every day of it.  Here are some pictures from the past weeks
It was super hot all week in the California Sunshine, so we took a trip to beach to escape the heat.

In California we went to this really amazing restaurant.. totally amazing!

Oh my brother looks so happy!

The World of Color-This was my absolute favorite thing in Disneyland.
Music, water, lights! So cool!

They were so excited to sit next to me, Can't you tell?

One day we went to Legoland...

My favorite part was the cities that they made out of legos.

The white house

Statue of Liberty

So cool, right?

So long Mickey, it was super fun, and I will hopefully be back soon!
